WHAT IS THE GOSPEL?
The Gospel of Jesus Christ is GOOD NEWS. Everything God accomplished through Christ for us is good news:
• All that He has done for us,
• How He has changed our lives,
• How He gave Himself for us because of His love for us;
Jesus Christ, and what He has done for us, is the reason we are here learning together and serving Him. He is the reason why you came across this article.
The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the Good News of Jesus Christ – which includes all that God did for us through the life of Christ, His death on the cross, and His resurrection.
The Good News of Jesus Christ has many parts to it:
a. Forgiveness of sin:
Colossians 2:13 – “You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins.”
b. We receive a new life in Christ:
II Corinthians 5:17 – “This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!”
Ezek.36.26 – “And I will give you a new heart with new and right desires, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony heart of sin and give you a new, obedient heart (NLT).
Ezek.36.27 – I’ll put my Spirit in you and make it possible for you to do what I tell you and live by my commands”(MSG).
c. We are assured of our eternal life in Christ:
I John 5:11-12 – “And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have God’s Son does not have life”.
We are changed by this Good News and all that God has given us is a gift (Eph 2:8-9)
And Because we have received this gift, we desire to give it away to others!
Matt 10:8 – “Give as freely as you have received!”
The gospel is God’s gift to us and it is meant to be shared with others.
You and I have a sense of responsibility to share this Goodnews with others so that they also can receive this Goodnews and also share with others.
In Summary:
1. The Gospel is the Good News of all that Jesus has done for us.
2. This Good News must be given away to others after we receive it.
In Conclusion:
If you desire a change of heart and a change of life; if you want to be full of joy and peace in your mind; what you need is nothing else but the gospel that Jesus brings.
Will you take the chance to receive this Goodnews into your life?
Ask Jesus to come into your life right now to be your Lord and personal Saviour. Ask Him to give you new life.
Ask Him to forgive all your sin both past and present.
Ask Him to assure you of His love and also assure you of the eternal life you have just received everyday.

Lord Jesus, thank you for what you have just done. You promised not to cast away anyone who comes to you in the name of Jesus; Accept who ever that has gone through this master piece and has believe and responded to the message of the gospel in Jesus name. Amen.
